Beersel

We jumped right into our trip.  On our first day, we mentioned to Kathy that we saw something about a castle just south of Brussels.  While Kathy hadn't heard of it, she was up for a quick trip.  And so we spent the afternoon in Beersel.  The castle itself was pretty impressive, and you could really imagine people having lived and worked there.  The moat was drained, which was too bad, but you take what you can get!

We also enjoyed sitting outside the small restaurant there drinking beer and tea and eating some finger food.  While it was a little chilly, the sun was shining and it was a great way to spend the afternoon.

This was also my first real experience with the new camera, and sadly I accidentally overexposed a number of my pictures that day.  The one of the outside of the castle is one, but with editing I managed to tone it down some.
